Kenyatta University Awards the Second Contract for its Digital School to mElimu

Kenyatta University, after the successful implementation of its first Digital School through mElimu, signed a contract for a second lot of mElimu tablets and platform for its students. The Anywhere School, as they call it in Kenyatta University, provides online education through mElimu platform for an additional set of courses for Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Masters programmes.27.11.2014Swati Satyen
Kenyatta University Awarded the ‘Best Digital School’
Nairobi, November 27, 2014 Kenyatta University took pride in receiving the award for having the best ICT programme in Higher Education by the Computer Science Society of Kenya. Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olive Mugenda received the award at the 19th Annual Kenya ICT Excellence awards ceremony held at the Laico Regency Hotel, Nairobi. Ms. Eunice Kariuki, the Marketing Director of Kenya ICT Authority, stated that the University has been a trendsetter for launching a Digital School for higher education in Kenya.

Visit to Kenya Organized by ICT Board

Founders of the company, mElimu, visited Kenya on April 20, 2012 to know of the ICT opportunities in the country. The visit was organized by the ICT board. The purpose of the four-day visit was to explore Kenya’s ICT investment potential. Rajeev Gupta, Damnish Kumar and Tushar Vohra were the officials that were a part of this exploration tour.
